Report: best Apple deals from merchants on Black Friday

updated 05:23 pm EST, Wed November 21, 2012

Deals on iPods, iPads and iTunes gift cards abound

With all the hype surrounding Black Friday deals, MacNN wanted to highlight some of the best Apple deals we've seen that will be available in stores on Friday. BestBuy is offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of a fifth-generation 32GB iPod Touch for $295, which is $5 less than the MSRP, for a combined savings of $55. BestBuy customers can also get a $20 gift card with the seventh-generation (current) 16GB iPod nano, priced at $145, for a total savings of $25.

Target has a similar offer on the fourth-generation 16GB iPod touch priced at $195, and bundled with a $40 Target gift card. Officemax's online website lets buyers save 30 percent on a $50 iTunes gift card, priced at only $25.

Also offering iTunes gift card deals are Toys R Us, which is giving away a $15 iTunes gift card with the purchase of a $50 iTunes gift card, and Sam's Club -- where members can take advantage of a $100 iTunes gift card multi-pack for only $79.88.

Though it is expected to sell out quickly, WalMart is giving away a $75 iTunes gift card with the purchase of a 16GB iPad 2 with WiFi for $399, and they guarantee that they will be available for the first hour of the day. In addition to the aforementioned iPod Touch deal, Target stores also have a bundle deal that includes the 16GB fourth-generation iPad with Wi-Fi and Retina display along with a $60 Target gift card for $500. Target is offering the $60 gift card with any iPad purchase, and they have Cellular+Wi-Fi models along with Wi-Fi only units.
