Vita 2.0 software update arrives on November 19th in the US

Sony on Tuesday revealed that when the PS Vita gets a software update to version 2.0, it will bring with it access to Sony's PlayStation Plus service for the first. Those who are subscribers on the PS3 will be able to access their accounts from the Vita without an extra subscription fee. The service will allow subscribers to purchase discounted games, get exclusive free demos and trials, and get other content.

Four free games per month will also be available, with the launch line-up consisting of Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush and Chronovolt. The Vita will also get 1GB of cloud-based storage space for game saves. The service arrives on November 19 in the US and the 20th in Europe.

PS Plus can be purchased on a three-month basis for $18 or for a full year for $50.
