Galaxy Stratosphere II to sport NFC, 4G, Android 4.0

Samsung is bringing a new Android phone to Verizon, as the carrier announced today the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II. The new handset features a full hardware QWERTY keyboard, and it is plugged into most of Samsung's major media services, including Samsung Media Hub. It also debuts with 4G connectivity and near-field communications capability.

The Galaxy Stratosphere II features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor running Android 4.0. It has a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, and the phone is Global Ready, with the ability to call and email from over 200 countries. It also has built-in Virtual Private Network connectivity and supports multi-vendor Mobile Device Management.

The Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II will be available online and in Verizon stores in the coming weeks. It will retail for $130 following a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.
