Aspyr port of Gearbox hit lands in late November
Mac game developer Aspyr announced today that it would be bringing a port of the popular PC shooter Borderlands 2 to the Mac platform later this month. Borderlands 2 arrives on the Mac just over two months after it was released to PCs and consoles to overwhelmingly positive reception. The Mature-rated shooter will be available in both digital and boxed formats.
Developed originally by Gearbox for PCs and consoles, Borderlands 2 lets players step into the shoes of a wide range of characters with a vast assortment of weapons at their disposal. The game features co-op online play with drop-in-drop-out capabilities, as well as a single-player campaign.
In order to run the game, Mac users will need a system running at least OSX 10.7.5 or 10.8.2 on an Intel Core 2 Duo dual-core processor. The minimum required CPU speed is 2.2GHz, and systems must have a minimum of 4GB of RAM and 13GB of hard disk space. For ATI video cards, a Radeon HD 2600 is the minimum, while a Geforce 8800 is the minimum for NVidia video cards.
