Q series brings versatility at affordable price point

Behringer announced today the availability of its Xenyx Q Series USB mixers, bringing a wide range of USB functionalities to consumers at an affordable price. The Q Series comes in configurations ranging from five to 24 inputs, featuring microphone preamps for ultra-low noise, high headroom operation. Select models also have switchable phantom power plus dedicated "wireless-ready" integration that will make them compatible with Behringer's forthcoming ULM series of wireless microphones.

The new mixers feature built-in USB/audio interfaces, Klark Teknik FX engines, and one-knob mono channel compressors. Behringer also offers a downloadable library of free recording and editing software that works on both Macs and PCs.

The Xenyx models feature neo-classic "British" 3-band EQs and a post fader FX send per channel for external FX devices. They also have two-track inputs assignable to main mix or control room/phones outputs.

All models are covered by a three-year limited warranty. Further pricing and availability information is available at Behringer's site.

Do yourselves a favor and don't buy anything made by Behringer. It's cheap junk made by a company that steals from other companies. Uli Behringer walks around NAMM with his little digital camera taking pictures of other exhibitors' stuff so that they can copy it. Their stuff is cheap for a reason.

FWIW, Midas and Klark Technik are now owned by Behringer. It doesn't get much better.

I agree with your assessment on the brand. But that combination changes things.
