Gresso shows rugged Regal Titanium handset for $4,500

Regal Titanium made from a billet of titanium, runs on Symbian S40

Luxury handset maker Gresso has shown off a new handset, the Regal Titanium. As the name suggests, it is largely made of titanium, milled from a billet piece of the metal. Titanium is resistant to corrosion, salt, moisture and sunlight, making it long lasting.

Unfortunately, the rest of the phone's specs aren't so impressive. It runs on Symbian S40 and has just 30MB of built-in storage space, though it's expandable thanks to a microSD memory card slot, though it can only accommodate cards up to 2GB in capacity. Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth 2.0 radio is built-in, as is an FM tuner and a two-megapixel camera. The handset supports 900, 1,800, and 1,900 cellular GSM bands.

Gresso will build just 333 examples of the handset, with each priced at a jaw-dropping $4,500.
