Marshall release Major 50 FX headphones

Marshall Headphones has released the Major 50 FX headphones. Claimed to have a sound quality that pays homage to the Marshall legacy, the physical design attempts to match the audio. Inner ear caps borrow the fret detailing used in the 50th anniversary line of amplifiers, the outer has gold accents and the same vinyl coating used for the Marshal amp line. Complete with an Apple-certified microphone and remote, the Marshall Headphones Major 50 FX are on sale for $170.

SquareTrade warranty service offered in UK Tesco stores

Warranty service provider SquareTrade has partnered with UK retail giant Tesco to offer enhanced warranty protection on electrical items bought in one of 358 stores across the country. Aside from usual service agreements offered by warranties and consumer protection laws, SquareTrade will offer a five-day service guarantee for items sent for repair, a refund on the full as-new purchase price of the item if it is not repairable, and a refund on the warranty if the product is not returned within five days.

Survey: 96 percent would review apps poorly after freezes, crashes

A survey found that 96-percent of American mobile app users would give an app a bad review after suffering from one of a number of frustrations. Conducted by Apigee, freezes and crashes were the biggest issues, scoring 76 percent and 71 percent respectively. Slow responsiveness, heavy battery usage, and too many in-app advertisements each received 59 percent, 55 percent, and 53 percent. Users would be tempted to delete the app if it froze for more than 30 seconds 38-percent of the time, while 18 percent would delete it after a five-second freeze. Just 27 percent said they would keep the app for longer if they paid for it.
