Apple adds link to Samsung judgement on UK site

Published judgement includes coolness comments

Apple has updated its website to comply with a court order in the UK. A small link at the bottom of apple.com/uk titled "Samsung/Apple UK judgement" takes visitors to a seperate page, explaining that the High Courty of Justice of England and Wales found the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9, and Tab 7.7 do not infringe one of Apple's design patents.

Two of the six paragraphs on display quote the ruling made by Judge Birss, reiterating comments made relating to "the extreme simplicity of the Apple design," as well as the now-infamous "It is a cool design" and "They are not as cool" comments. Links to full copies of the judgement are also on display, though Apple also opted to mention its wins in other courts, such as the US dispute where the company was awarded over one billion dollars in damages from Samsung.

Apple is also due to place adverts in UK national newspapers, such as the Daily Mail and the Financial Times, as well as other technology and news-related publications, as part of the judgement.
