miniStack external SSD storage


Newer Technology has launched a new external storage device that uses OWC Mercury Solid State Drives. Specifically designed to match the appearance of the Mac mini, the external miniStack is available in four capacities ranging from 120GB to 960GB. Prices start at $200 for the 120GB model, while 240GB, 480GB, 960GB models cost $300, $580, and $1230.

Free 3D development software launched

Shade 3D for Unity, an application based on the 3D modelling software Shade, has been released as a free download. The software, available in the Mac App Store, allows users to create and develop a 3D game seamlessly with Unity 3D. Full access is provided to all of a projects assets and any necessary information can easily be transferred between each program. Original games created with the software can be distributed directly though the Mac App Store, iOS App Store, and Google Play, as well as various other distribution services including Steam.
