Image resolution suggests 3.1-megapixel camera

An Executive from Google has put photographs taken by the Nexus 10 online. Appearing on the Google+ page of Vic Gundotra, Senior Vice President of Engineering, the images have reportedly been taken using the onboard camera, and uploaded before the "Playground is Open" event on October 29th.

An initial examination of the photographs show the camera listed as the "Nexus 10". The resolution of 2048x1536 puts the camera at around 3.1 megapixels, which although relatively low for a rear-facing camera, would be high for one facing the user, reports Android Central. The actual camera resolution could be much greater, if the image has received some edits such as cropping before being uploaded for public viewing.

The event on Monday will almost certainly be the release date for the Nexus 10 tablet, after an earlier leak saw pages from the manual being put online. A Nexus 7 with 3G access could also be on the cards, while an LG-built Nexus 4 smartphone is strongly believed to be shown, alongside the 32GB version of the Nexus 7.
