LG adds a hybrid slider and AIO its Windows 8 line-up

LG has joined the throng of manufacturers in rolling out brand new hardware for the imminent launch of Microsoft's Windows 8 OS. Leading the introductions is a new 11.6-inch H160 hybrid slider PC. Like the Sony Vaio Duo 11 Slider, the device runs the full Windows 8 OS and weighs less than 3 pounds and converts from a notebook into a tablet.

The new all-in-one V325 centers on a large 23-inch display with ten-finger multitouch. It is powered by a third-gen Core i5 processor and includes a 3D-capable Nvidia GeForce GT640M GPU. The V325 also includes a built-in TV Tuner that supports picture-in-picture mode for computing alonside TV viewing.

LG says the new Windows 8 devices announced today will ship alonside new LG Windows 8-powered ultrabooks, notebooks, and desktops along with a new range of touch-screen monitors for existing Windows 7 users purchase if they want to enjoy the touch capabilities of Microsoft's new OS.
