PayPal account and eBay user growth accelerating

The last quarter brought significant year-over-year revenue gains for eBay, the online marketplace reported today, with an improvement of 15 percent over the same quarter last year. The third quarter of this year saw eBay pull in $3.40 billion in revenues, up slightly from $3.39 billion for the second quarter, but a significant jump from 2011, when the company pulled in $2.97 billion. The company saw acceleration in the growth of its PayPal accounts and eBay user counts as well, and it raised its full year guidance.
