Smartphone has Galaxy Nexus shape, Optimus G back

Images of the rumored LG-made Nexus smartphone have appeared online. Initially shown within a dummy case to obscure the physical appearance of the phone, the LG-E960 Mako has been stripped of its shell and photographed, with the results caught by Droid Life after being shown on a Russian forum.

Externally, the phone has the familiar Galaxy Nexus shape, though it has a display that appears to almost be edge-to-edge. The About screen shows the handset using JellyBean MR1, though other details about the handset's specifications remain unknown despite the access to the device by the forum user. Removing the security back cover shows a textured back, similar to that of the Optimus G.

Currently, it is speculated that the LG Nexus phone will be generally based on the specifications of the Optimus G, complete with an 8MP camera, 280x768 TrueHD IPS display, and a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor. [via Droid-Life]
