Firewire 800 port looks dead


In the thread titled "2007 iMac - Firewire 800 Port Looks Dead" Administrator ghporter thinks their Firewire 800 port might have died and has turned to the MacNN forums to look for more troubleshooting tips. Nergol pointed out an interesting tidbit of information about the new Lightning connection cable for the iPhone and iPod in this thread. Forum user Waragainstsleep noticed an odd issue with screen sharing mode where black screens appear until the menu is clicked or a window is dragged around and asks if anyone else has had this problem with Lion and Mountain Lion. One Fresh-Faced Recruit is looking for a way to run a second instance of an application in this thread started late last week.
