Both WP8 handsets released in US for holiday season
AT&T has confirmed it will be offering the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820 on its network. The carrier has lined up both handsets for a launch in November, later than previously speculated. As part of the launch, AT&T has also confirmed that both the WP8 flagship and mid-range smartphones will run on its high-speed 4G LTE network.
The Lumia 920 has a curved 4.5-inch Pure Motion HD+ touchscreen with a 720p resolution, with a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor powering it. Built-in wireless inductive charging, NFC connectivity, and a controversial 8-megapixel camera with a floating lens are also included. The budget-oriented Lumia 820 uses the same processor, however uses a 4.3-inch 800x480 ClearBlack OLED display and a Carl Zeiss 8-megapixel camera.
While the Lumia 920 will be available in Red, Black, White, Yellow, and Cyan colors, the Lumia 820 will only be sold in black, though additional shells in other colors will be available through the carrier. A firm date in November has not been released, nor has any pricing details.
