MacGameStore launches desktop app

Netflix has released an updated version of its iOS app that adds support for iOS 6 and the iPhone 5's larger screen. Videos now take full advantage of the 4-inch screen and are displayed in their native aspect ratio. The update is also said to improve the browsing, searching, and watching experiences. The Netflix app is offered for free in the App Store but requires a Netflix account.

MacGameStore outs new desktop app

MacGameStore has released a new desktop app that acts as both a digital storefront and game repository. Games purchased from the store are downloaded directly into the desktop app, and any updates are automatically pushed directly to the user. Purchased titles can also be deleted and re-downloaded at any time. The app also includes a Game Compatibility Checker that compares a Mac's specs to the game's requirements and provides real-time compatibility feedback.
