Tower model aimed at business, government
HP announced today an addition to its business performance line, the HP Compaq Pro 6305 Desktop PC. The new tower model comes with a range of processor options, and it integrates improved graphics processing for intensive business applications. HP also ships the 6305 with a suite of its own security options as well as system deployment and maintenance software.
The 6305 features APU A10, A8, A6, or A4 processors, allowing it to handle graphics up to 21 percent better than previous generations. It also features AMD Turbo Core 3.0 technology to boost system performance when multitasking.
The 6305 comes in two profiles: the Small Form Factor and the Microtower. Customers can customize the 6305 using its PCI ex16 (Gen 2) graphics slot, two PCIe x1 (Gen 2) accessory slots, and a PCI (v2.3) accessory slot.
The 6305 comes with Windows 7 pre-installed, and it is capable of supporting up to 32GB. It has four USB 2.0 ports, a headphone output, and a microphone jack in the front. On its rear, it has four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a serial port, PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, an RJ-45 network interface, DisplayPort and VGA video interfaces, and 3.5mm audio in/out jacks.
The HP Compaq Pro 6305 Desktop PC starts at $539 and will be available worldwide starting October 8. Windows 8 configurations are expected to be available at a later date.
