Cameras intended for SOHO implementations, offer easy setup
Security monitoring solutions vendor Swann has unveiled two new wireless network surveillance cameras -- the SwannSmart Wi-Fi enabled network camera with secure cloud storage and the SwannEye smartphone-controllable wireless IP network camera. Both cameras offer plug-and-play setup with uPnP router configuration for internet or local area network control and surveillance.
The SwannEye shoots real time MJPEG video at 30 frames per second at a 640x480 resolution. The camera can pan and tilt to 350 degrees horizontal traverse, with 100 degrees vertical. A built in microphone and speaker allows two-way audio communications.
The SwannSmart camera is a Wi-Fi device with a free control app downloadable from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Images and video are stored on the SwannSmart Secure Cloud for $6 per month. Eight infrared LEDs give the camera a 12-foot low-light camera range, and an integral microphone captures audio.
Both cameras are available at retail now, and have a retail price of $130.
