OS X 10.7.5 adds Gatekeeper, minor bugfixes

Brings Mountain Lion security tech back to previous OS

Complementing the release of OS X 10.8.2, Apple has also posted OS X 10.7.5, an update for Lion users. The software mainly retrofits Lion with Gatekeeper, the security technology built into Mountain Lion. By default Gatekeeper rejects unsigned apps, although restrictions can be loosened if necessary.

Troubleshooting efforts have fixed problems with rearranged Launchpad icons, Wi-Fi reliability on iMacs dating back to 2009, and Spotlight searches on SMB servers. Apple is promising improved compatibility when connecting to Active Directory servers.

As with Mountain Lion, client and server editions of v10.7.5 are available, whether in combo or delta form. The server update addresses issues in password authentication, maintaining a Spotlight index when changing share point settings, and creating and connecting to an Open Directory master, among other areas.

"Gatekeeper", hmmm. I wonder if they bought it from Gregg Microsystems. See this link...
