Second Siri founding member to leave, no destination announced
One of the engineers who co-founded Siri and former vice president of engineering of the company has reportedly left Apple. Adam Cheyer departed recently after working in Apple's mobile software division, making it the second founding team member to leave Apple after former Chief Executive Officer Dag Kittlaus departed after Apple purchased the company.
Siri, Inc was acquired for integration in the Apple iOS on April 28. 2010. The technology has come under some fire, including reports that Google text search remains a more accurate option. Additionally, two class action lawsuits have been filed against Apple claiming that Siri's abilities had been oversold by Apple.
Neither Apple nor Cheyer has responded to a request for comment on the departure. Cheyer hasn't made any announcement in regards to his ultimate destination.
