Titanium and Titanium Internet Security for Mac
In addition to its mobile security announcements, Trend Micro also announced today a new suite of security offerings aimed at the Mac platform. Trend's SmartSurfing has now become Titanium Internet Security for Mac. The new software is aimed at combating spam and filtering malicious sites in order to ensure a safe web surfing experience.
Internet Security for Mac provides parental controls and protection across social networking sites. It relies on Trend Micro's Smart Protection Network, a cloud security infrastructure that identifies and protects against new threats as users surf the web. Internet Security for Mac requires an Intel-powered Mac with at least 512MB RAM and 400MB of available hard disk space, as well as Mac OS X 10.5.8 or higher. It functions with Safari 5.0.1 or higher, Firefox 4.0 or higher, and Google Chrome 16 or higher.
Titanium Internet Security for Mac is available from Trend Micro for $50 for a one-year subscription.
