AmazonLocal iOS app released
Amazon's AmazonLocal iOS app debuted in the iOS App Store last week. The app allows users to locate deals and specials in their area and purchase them through Amazon. Users can redeem deals directly through their iPhones without printing vouchers, use the app for navigation assistance to find deals, directly contact participating merchants through the app, and share deals through Facebook, Twitter, email, and SMS. The app is available as a free download in the iTunes App Store. It is compatible with iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads running iOS 4.3 or later.
Google Drive app updated
The Android and iOS versions of Google Drive -- Google's cloud-based storage service -- saw an update today. For iOS, Version 1.1.0 brings formatting and collaboration capabilities, as well as improvements to Google's presentation software. The update also brings the ability to create folders and Google documents and to upload photos and videos directly from a camera or other device to Google Drive, among a number of other features. The Android update -- version 18.104.22.168 -- brings those features, the ability to print using Google Cloud Print, the option to resume interrupted uploads, and more. Both updates are available as free downloads in the iOS App Store and Google's Play Store.
Stitcher Radio iOS gets update
The iOS version of Stitcher Radio got an update today. Version 5.0.0 brings a new Offline Mode, allowing users to download content for listening when not connected to a network. The new mode includes a storage indicator, and users can delete saved shows with a single tap. The update also includes the option to view comments from other users, improved search functionality, improved AirPlay and connected device integration, easier sharing to Facebook, and several usability improvements and crash fixes. The newest version of Stitcher Radio is available as a free download in the iTunes App Store.
