Full-frame sensor touted, pop-up flash confirmed

Images for a new compact camera from Sony, allegedly with a full-frame sensor, have appeared online. Photos of the Sony RX1, spotted by, shows a camera similar to the RX100 in terms of size and general build, but is claimed to have a sensor that would compete with more expensive and high-end models used by professional photographers.

The Carl Zeiss lens appears to be fixed to the camera with no button to remove it, however the 35mm f/2.0 lens will probably be seen as a good choice by the manufacturer. A pop-up flash also appears, seemingly working in exactly the same way as the one used in the RX100. Although a top view gives some idea as to how big the LCD screen on the rear is compared to the camera, it isn't clear what the exact size of the display is.

A release date is currently unknown, but the street price is claimed to be around $2,800. [via Sony Alpha Rumors]
