Apple TV support arrives year after service's Japanese debut
Hulu is now accessible via the Apple TV in Japan, according to an official announcement. The option doesn't require a firmware upgrade; instead, as with an equivalent update to US Apple TVs, Hulu should simply appear in the set-top's menus. People can try Hulu for a month before a paid subscription is needed.
The video streaming service has actually been available in Japan for about a year, but is new to the Apple TV in general, having only popped up on US models at the end of July. Hulu's main rival, Netflix, has been on the Apple TV since the launch of second-generation hardware.
