Could hint at new Touch getting LED flash
A Chinese case maker -- Shenzhen Gekai Technology -- is selling what it claims are cases for the fifth-generation iPod touch, notes Giz-China. Perhaps the most noticeable trait of the cases is expanded camera hole, similar to the ones on cases for the iPhone 4 and 4S. That may suggest that Apple is adding an LED flash to the Touch, which has traditionally lagged behind the iPhone in terms of most features.
The cases also have an unidentified hole near the bottom. It's speculated that the cutout may be meant for a secondary microphone and/or speaker arrangement; recent reports have hinted that Apple is planning the same thing for other iOS devices. Shenzhen Gakai is in fact selling supposed iPad mini cases as well, which sport a hole near the top that could be meant for a secondary mic. Adding another mic could improve audio recording when shooting videos, and help filter out noise for apps like Siri.
