iStopMotion integrates with iPhone app

Quark has released a public preview of DesignPad, a tool that can help teach the fundamentals of grid-based design. Through the use of multi-touch gestures, users can experiment with different layouts for standard document types such as ads, posters, newsletters, and brochures. Every layout element can be manipulated by the user, including text, images, and colors. Projects can also be shared via e-mail or Twitter, as well as transferred to QuarkXPress for further customization. The Quark DesignPad Preview app is free to download from the App Store and users are encouraged to share their feedback in the Quark Forums.

iStopMotion 3 for Mac launched

iStopMotion 3, the latest version of Bonix Software's tool for creating stop motion movies, has been launched. The latest release has been optimized for Retina displays, and now allows users to record footage from an iPhone, iPad or iPod via the free iStopMotion Remote Camera app. Other changes include integration with Final Cut Pro X, OS X Mountain Lion compatibility, and enhanced security with sandboxing and a signed DeveloperID. For a limited time the software is being offered at an introductory price of $30, after which it will rise to $50.
