Fujifilm intros FinePix S4200 and SL240 not-quite-DSLRs

FinePix bridge cameras differ only in the way they are powered

Fujifilm has just released the FinePix S4200 and FinePix SL240 bridge cameras that were introduced at CES. They don't have interchangeable lenses but are more functional than run-of-the-mill point-and-shoot cameras. Much is shared between the two models, including 14-megapixel sensors, 24x zoom Fujinon lenses, and 3-inch LCD screens.

There are also electronic viewfinders along with image stabilization. The cameras have a 24mm wide-angle function. Shooting video at up to 720p quality is also possible.

The main and seemingly only difference has to do with their power source. The SL240 has a rechargeable lithium battery that can take 300 shots on a full charge, while the S4200 gets two AA batteries.

Either camera can be had in red, white, or black. The S4200 is now shipping in the UK, priced at 149 (about $235), while the SL240 costs 199 (nearly $310). [via Pocket-Lint]
