Yellow notebook sees graphics changes, 3D screen

Samsung is putting out an update to its Gamer 7 series. Known locally in South Korea as the Samsung Series 7 Gamer Yellow 3D, the notebook sees its Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M graphics card replaced by an AMD Radeon HD 7870M chip powering the 17.3-inch SuperBright 400-nit LED display in both 2D and 3D variants, although it retains the Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor.

The existing 1TB of disk storage is supplemented by a 128GB SSD for quicker booting, while battery life is also claimed to be boosted. Other features, such as 8GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, and a number of other ports, remain the same.

South Koreans will be able to buy the notebook tomorrow for 3 million won (~$2,650). A US release is currently unknown, although when the Series 7 Gamer was originally announced in Korea, the US release announcement came the following day. [via Akihabara News]
