Android 4.0 slider set for August 15 release

Official images of a previously revealed T-Mobile-branded Samsung slider have been released, and the device is officially known as the Galaxy S Blaze Q. The images were obtained by TmoNews, and they show off the forthcoming slider QWERTY slider in about the same detail as previous images. Specs for the device are still unknown, but it appears likely that the device will either be released or officially unveiled later this week.

The images came bearing a date, August 15, which is one date that has been previously offered as a possible release date for the device. Samsung has already announced that it will be unveiling a new Galaxy device on that date.

The Galaxy S Blaze Q is believed to pack a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. The handset's display is thought to output at 720p, and its rear camera is said to be capable of 1080p video capture. The device will reportedly run Android 4.0 at release, though it may be revealed with a schedule for an upgrade to 4.1, as Samsung has recently been spelling out when assorted of its devices would be receiving that update.
