MyService offering hybrid drive for Macs
Automattic has released a major update for its iOS WordPress app, introducing an all new UI with a navigational sidebar. Graphics and colors within the interface have also been updated, and sliding panels have been added to the iPad's interface. The update also introduces support for Post Formats, landscape support throughout the app, new WordPress.com stats, and a simple post preview feature for the iPad. The update is available as a free download in the App Store.
Hybrid drive upgrade option now offered by MyService
MyService has announced that it is now offering the Momentus XT 750GB hybrid drive as an upgrade option for Mac systems. The hybrid drive combines a 7200RPM hard disk with an 8GB solid state buffer, and assigns commonly used files to the solid state portion to boost overall speed. According to MyService's tests boot times were roughly twice as fast as a standard 5400RPM hard drive, and only a few seconds slower than a full solid state drive. The upgrade option is available for all MacBook, MacBook Pro and Intel Mac mini models at a cost of $350.
