Multi-platform business integration systems software maker Thursby has announced that its leading Mac-Windows integration software has been updated to work with Mountain Lion. The updates are free of charge to customers who purchased after June 1 or those who have active maintenance agreements. All the new versions support Apple's new Gatekeeper security feature, which aims to significantly reduce the possibility of any malware. PKard for Mac was previously updated for Mountain Lion.

The software is now at v10.0 for DAVE, version 7.0 for ADmitMac and version 5.0 of ADmitMac PKI. The latter two packages augment DAVE's SMB/CIFS/DFS multi-platform integration by adding Active Directory, single sign-on and policy management, with ADmitMac PKI additionally using two-factor secure CAC and PIV smart card authentication. A comparison chart is available from the website to help users decide which product is right for their needs.

The upgrades do not affect Thursby's iOS offerings, and PKard was updated to handle Mountain Lion's more stringent security requirements in July. The company still makes limited versions of the products for systems older than OS X Snow Leopard, but these do not incorporate all the security features that have been improved since then. The company also sells a smart card reader for iOS devices, along with accompanying PKard software.
