Hand-crafted Bluetooth system shipping this fall
Mobile accessory maker Vers has announced that its 1Q Bluetooth speaker system has far surpassed its Kickstarter goal and will be shipping this fall. The 1Q is a speaker encased in the customer's choice of wood. It retails for $120, and purchasing information is available on the product's Kickstarter page.
The 1Q has a 3-inch cubic wooden housing. Its Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity allows it to stream audio from Bluetooth-enabled devices within a 30-foot range, and its battery allows for about 10 hours of play time. The stereo can also automatically shift between mono and stereo sound output when it detects that another 1Q is attached.
The device weighs about eight ounces and is available in walnut, bamboo, and red beech. The 1Q has already secured nearly 10 times its Kickstarter goal with eight days left in its pledge period, and Vers says it will be shipping this fall, though the company has yet to specify a date.
