May major bugs, performance problems
Later today, Apple will be releasing an important update to the official Podcasts app for iOS, sources for All Things D say. Many users have complained about the app being broken, for instance exhibiting extremely slow performance or failing to mark podcasts as played. One of its most promoted features is sync with iTunes, but those subscriptions are not carrying over between devices as expected.
For Apple, fixing the app is essential. Aside from promoting content on the iTunes Store, it will likely become the main way of listening to podcasts in iOS 6, since the Podcasts section went missing from the iOS 6 developer preview's version of iTunes. The app's current state is also hurting the company's reputation; at the App Store the title has a rating of just two and a half stars.

Good, man I can't believe they released the first version in the state that it was in. Unusable and I hope they bring back all the chapter information like album covers for each chapter and all the accompanying chapter info like write up and links.
