The Raspberry Pi miniature computer will be getting a camera add-on later this year. CNet UK reports that the credit card-sized Linux computer will see its first add-on in the form of a camera module with a 5MP sensor. The module plugs into the Pi and takes still pictures and video. The module is expected to cost between $20 and $25 and will likely arrive some time in the next three months.

BioLite Camp Stove charges iDevices

BioLite has announced the availability of its new CampStove, an outdoors device that uses the heat from a camp fire to charge electronic devices by USB. The CampStove can bring one liter of water to boil in 4.5 minutes, and it outputs 3.4 to 5.5kw of power when burning wood. It is compatible with most USB-chargeable devices, including smartphones and tablets. Owners can burn sticks, pine cones, pellets, and other biomass within the 8.25x5-inch device. It weighs two pounds and has a pot weight limit of eight pounds or one gallon of liquid. The BioLite CampStove is available for $129 on BioLite's site. New orders are expected to ship in mid-July.
