Previously leaked slider gets a name, specs
A previously revealed Samsung QWERTY slider phone may in fact be the Galaxy S Blaze Q. Website TmoNews published an instruction sheet for displaying smartphones in T-Mobile stores, one that bears the Galaxy S Blaze Q name and appears to point to the unreleased phone. Additional details on the device's specs and release date have also come to light recently.
According to reports, the Galaxy S Blaze Q is set to launch on August 15. The slider will pack a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, and a 720p HD display. Details on the device's front and rear cameras are uncertain, but it is thought to have a 5MP rear camera, and it will run Android 4.0.4 at launch.
Images of the Galaxy S Blaze Q previously emerged showing off the device's hardware keyboard and little else of note. The device had previously shown up on a leaked inventory sheet that revealed the existence of a navy blue Samsung Galaxy Note, also bound for T-Mobile.
