Samsung Galaxy S III coming to Verizon on July 10

updated 04:33 pm EDT, Tue July 3, 2012

Verizon will offer 16GB Galaxy S III in stores and online starting July 10

Verizon has now gone ahead and cemented plans for its Samsung Galaxy S III release. The handset will arrive at the carrier on July 10 in physical retail locations as well as online. The 16GB model will cost $200, while the 32GB variant won't initially be available in stores, being relegated to online sales only for the first initial weeks.

Regardless of where it's purchased, the higher-capacity model will cost $250, with either price requiring a two-year voice and data contract. It will be available in either blue and white colors, as on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. Verizon offers the most widespread 4G LTE network for the handset, with coverage in 304 cities across the US.

To recap, the phone sports a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen and uses a dual-core, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor in the North American versions, paired with 2GB of RAM. There is also 4G LTE connection sharing with up to 10 Wi-Fi devices.
