PDF2DTP for QuarkXPress 9
The Google Places iOS app has been rebranded as Google+ Local and now offers both voice search and Zagat ratings. The app breaks down locations around a user into several categories, such as restaurants, hotels, and bars. Tapping on a category brings up a list of all the businesses in a user's surrounding area and provides contact information, directions, and reviews for each. In addition to the new voice search functionally, the update has also improved the method for searching for places that aren't nearby, and switched to the OAuth2 login for improved security.
PDF2DTP converts PDF files into a QuarkXPress editable format
Markzware has announced the launch of PDF2DTP, an XTension module that enables users to open and convert PDF documents within QuarkXPress 9. The software converts all possible elements into the DTP format, including text, colours, and images, and is also capable of extracting all embedded images into a separate folder. PDF2DTP is being sold online for $200 and requires an Intel-based Mac running OS X 10.6 or later.
