Also gains Notification Center hooks
Sparrow has released an update of its self-named Mac email client, v1.6.2. The app now has support for the MacBook Pro's Retina display, as well as OS X Mountain Lion, which ships later this month. Related to this is support for Notification Center, which will only come to the Mac with Mountain Lion.
More changes include a Send & Archive command in quick replies, and the ability to always expand messages and/or see the "i" section. The release is otherwise dedicated to fixing problems; Growl notifications now work with POP accounts as well as Growl 1.3, for instance, and the app's memory consumption has been improved. Certain app behaviors should finally stay consistent, such as use of the close, minimize, and zoom buttons.
Sparrow for Mac is a $10 download. The software is available on the Mac App Store, and requires OS X 10.6 or later.
