Foxconn CEO: next iPhone will put ‘GS3 to shame’

Terry Gou says next iPhone is a GS3 killer

The CEO of Foxconn, Terry Gou has told Focus Taiwan that the next-generation iPhone will put the Samsung 'Galaxy S III to shame.' He advised consumers thinking of getting the Galaxy S III to wait for the launch of Apple's next smartphone although he did not go into any details as to what made it worth waiting for. He also took the opportunity to talk up Foxconn's partnership with Sharp for display development and indicated that he is keen to help Sharp topple Samsung in displays.

In late March, Foxconn became the largest single shareholder in Sharp, with an investment totaling $800 million. As part of the new deal, Foxcomm also recently invested an additional $800 million in Sharp's new tenth-generation LCD plant in Japan that is said to be the only plant in the world capable of producing 60-inch and 80-inch LCD panels. It has also secured an exclusive deal with Corning on the use of its Gorilla glass in the production of the new LCD panels.

Gou was recently in the spotlight for implying that Foxconn was working with Apple on its long-rumored, but still unannounced Apple TV set. Although Foxconn later issued clarifying remarks on the matter, Foxconn's close relationship with Apple, and its investment in Sharp's LCD production facilities remains intriguing. Apple is already said to be very interested in introducing Sharp displays using IGZO technology that could see it introduce super high-definition displays with significantly reduced power draw in mobile devices. Google doing evil

Google takes a product that took a lot of innovation to come up with ,iOS, and makes a so so copy of it. They are such jerks they call it "Ice Cream Sandwich". Samsung gets paid by Apple to make products to specifications that Apple gives them. Samsung copies that. The only problem for both of these characters is that they will always be at least one step behind Apple,
