New SDK promises easier integration for third-part apps
Facebook has announced that it is developing a "major update" up to its software development kit for iOS. The code is due "in the coming weeks," and will add features making it easier to integrate the social network into third-party apps. It should also support Apple's native Facebook integration in iOS 6, which was revealed last week at WWDC 2012.
Facebook has meanwhile bought out Face.com. The company specializes in face recognition technology, and produces its own API, but is perhaps best known for its KLIK camera app for iOS, which automatically tags Facebook friends in photos. Facebook will likely integrate Face.com technology into its own apps, particularly Facebook Camera.
