Four new Android 4.0 phones with dual-SIM standby shown by Gigabyte

At the Computex show in Taipei, Gigabyte showed off four smartphones that run on Android 4.0 and offer dual SIM card slots. The company is no stranger to such creations, with the G1355 introduced back in February, though it had Android 2.3 onboard. The range-topper from the newly-introduced phones is the GSmart M1420.

It gets a 4.3-inch, 800x480 touchscreen and a 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor on a MediaTek MT6575 platform. The eight-megapixel rear camera gets an autofocus and an LED flash, along with a front-facing, 1.3-megapixel camera. There is both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 onboard, with an accelerometer, proximity, and light sensor inside as well.

The GSmart M1320 is a bit more rounded, and centers around a smaller, 3.5-inch, 800x480 touchscreen. IT gets the same 1GHz CPU, along with 512MB of RAM. The integrated storage space is just 4GB, and the camera is a three-megapixel unit. Wi-Fi is paired with Bluetooth 3.0 in this case, and the same sensors as above are present.

Next up is the GSMart G1362 which goes back to a 4.3-inch screen and gets a faster, 1.2GHz Qualcomm CPU, paired with 512MB of RAM. There is 4GB of storage onboard and support for GSM, EDGE, WCDMA, and HSUPA networks. The main shooter has a five-megapixel sensor, autofocus, and an LED light, while the front cam is a VGA unit. Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, and the three sensors are carried over.

The final unveiling is the GSMart G1342. It has a Qualcomm MSM7225A 800MHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, a 3.5-inch, 320x480 display, and 1GB of storage space. It's relatively thin, at 12.5mm, and packs a five-megapixel rear camera and VGA front-facing shooter.

All should also have microSD slots for storage expansion, though this hasn't been confirmed. The foursome has dual-SIM standby capability, allowing them to take or make calls from either number. Prices or release dates aren't yet known. [via GSMDome]
