Vizio desktops, notebooks to land mid-month

Vizio, largely known for its bargain-priced HDTVs, has confirmed to Gizmodo that customers can expect to see its lineup of Vizio PCs appearing at retailers within the month of June. Some details about the lineup remain unknown, but images released by the company depict multiple all-in-one desktops, 14- and 15.6-inch notebooks, and a 10-inch tablet, most in a style reminiscent of Apple's minimalist aesthetic.

Vizio had promised to bring out a range of PCs at CES earlier this year, and images of the devices were released in January. The computers shown off in Vizio's images showed a line of slim notebooks and desktops, all with what appear to be aluminum and stainless steel finishes. The Vizio tablet sports a darker chassis, but adheres largely to the same minimalist style.

Last month saw a number of Vizio peripherals showing up at the FCC for approval. The FCC filing requested that images of the wireless keyboard and wireless trackpad be kept secret until July 31, which has been perceived as an indication of a likely launch date for the PC line. Vizio has now confirmed that the line of devices will be launching this month, though the company has given no further details as to device specifications, price, or availability.
