Airfoil, AirFloat iOS Airplay receivers pulled from App store


Applications Airfoil Speakers Touchby Macintosh audio software purveyor Rogue Amoeba, and similar application Airfloat by The Famous Software Company have been removed from the app store by Apple program managers. Both applications developers possibly reverse-engineered some aspect of Apple's Airplay technology, or used the illegally-distributed cracked encryption key, both violations of the Apple developer's agreement. Apple has not commented publicly on the matter, and neither developer has received a formal explanation of why the applications were removed.

Radical Breeze reveals version 5.0 of Illumination Software Creator

The new version of Radical Breeze's universal cross-platform software development tool ships on June 6. The Illumination Software Creator allows people with no development experience to visually design and create applications for a large variety of platforms including Windows, OS X, iOS, Android, HTML5 and Flash without writing a single line of code. The upgrade is free to all users of the software.

Traktor Pro upgrades to version 2.5

Native Instruments announced the newest update to Traktor Pro -- version 2.5. The new version introduces new remix decks, and makes 1.4GB of free artist-prepared samples available to utilize the new feature for free. Users of any Traktor Generation 2 product can upgrade to version 2.5 for free. Traktor Pro 2.5 is available for $89.
