720p video taken with Project Glass shows off capabilities

The first video taken with Google's Project Glass wearable computing device has shown up on the Internet. The video is part of a collection of media, all produced with Project Glass, that was posted to a Google+ Photography Conference album. The 15-second clip, in a manner somewhat reminiscent of a first-person video game, shows Project Glass' view as the wearer jumps and somersaults on a trampoline.

The video is available in 720p resolution, which indicates that Project Glass is capable of high-definition video recording. Other pictures posted in the album are of greater quality than those produced in previous outings for the technology, which would seem to indicate that Google is working to improve the capabilities of its prototypes as it moves closer to an expected commercial release later this year.

Notably, neither the video nor the photos posted in the album show off any of the user interface for Project Glass. Google caused a stir earlier this year with a concept video that saw users interacting with data in a variety of ways; but the company eventually dialed back expectations raised by the video, saying that the functions and UI are not finalized.
