New game 'The Journey Down' for Mac, Windows
The first episode of The Journey Down, a point-and-click adventure game, has been released for Mac, Windows, and Linux. The first chapter of the game has players searching for a lost journal that contains the secrets of a the mysterious Underland. Players must work through a number of puzzles that have been spread across varying locations in order to find the journal and begin unlocking its secrets. The Journey Down can be purchased from a number of online game distributors for $14.
PowerPC-based software archive launched
PowerPC Software Distribution has announced the launch of a new website that provides links to the final version of PowerPC-compatible software for Mac OS X. Alongside links to the developers official sites, PowerPC's new website also provides mirror downloads in hopes of maintaining the usability of PowerPC-based Macs. The website is being provided as a free service and offers all software in its original distribution format. Additionally, users can suggest new additions of programs by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
