Apple Retail Workers Union turns one
On Saturday the Apple Retail Workers Union (ARWU) will celebrate its one year anniversary. The ARWU is not a legal entity, but came together with the goal of improving working conditions, compensation, training, and promotion opportunities in Apple Retail Stores around the world. Over the past year the group has provided a number of services for Apple employees, such as its free Shift Board web app that can help employees find a replacement to cover a shift, as well as helped publicized the mistreatment of employees at factories in China.
