Small-biz software features 40 new features, tweaks

Oranged Software has updated its flagship program Studiometry, a back-office suite aimed at small and creative-professional businesses that handles organizing, planning, project tracking and invoicing. The new version, 9.2, offers a host of small new features with an emphasis on tweaks, refinements and bug fixes. Highlights of the release include improved markup capabilities, a general revamp of the Project Summary tab, refined Project Templates and more.

The update adds more contextual menus in the To Do lists and Calendars for creating either work items or timers, a new Folder Structure Summary, and the ability to customize both display formatting for project names and IDs as well as markups when creating project estimates and time sheets. The Project Summary tab now has a new chart that can compare employees' estimated and total hours, and work charts have been cleaned up to only show categories associated with the selected project.

A full list of changes is available on the company's support site. The program is available for purchase with licenses starting at $200. The update is free to registered 9.x users, and users of 8.x versions of Studiometry can upgrade to the latest version for $60. Site licenses as well as a 30-day trial download are available.
