Also adds improved logins, international keyboard support
Parallels has released a new version of Parallels Mobile, the iOS companion app to Parallels Desktop. The v3.1.530 update makes several important changes, first of all making the app "fully compatible" with iOS 5, and also optimized for the Retina display on the third-generation iPad. The full effect requires a Mac and/or virtual machine to be running at a resolution over 1024x768.
The app now also has support for international keyboard layouts when working with Mac hosts and Windows virtual machines, and a simplified connection process, no longer requiring Mac login info to be re-entered every time. Parallels has further fixed a number of bugs, particularly trouble with scrolling in both Windows and OS X.
Parallels Mobile costs $5 and requires at least iOS 4 plus a Mac running Parallels Desktop 6 or 7. Desktop 7 costs $80 new.
