Service now in oer 40 countries
Apple has once again expanded the availability of iTunes Match, the company's music upload and streaming service, reports say. The service is now available in several more countries, including Austria, Italy, Greece, Portugal, and Slovenia. In Italy the service is priced at €25 a year.
Access to iTunes Match has rolled out in relative fits and starts. It first became available in November, but at the time was US-only. In December another 17 countries were added, and the total is now over 40, since prior to today coverage had already reached 37 regions. The main obstacle to enabling access is believed to be legal rights, since different record labels have different requirements across the globe.
