Web code reveals unannounced Curve 9310

According to information buried in the documentation for BlackBerry.net, the BlackBerry Curve lineup will soon receive an addition in the form a previously-unannounced handset. Users of the Crackberry forums have discovered documentation suggesting that the BlackBerry Curve 9310 will be released in the near future on Verizon's network.

Digging through the site's User Agent Profile documents, users were able to locate the long-rumored device, which would join the 9220 and 9320 in rounding out the Curve lineup. According to the documents, the Curve 9310 will have a 320x240 display and will run BlackBerry OS 7.1 running under CDMA.

There is some speculation that the device could be intended for release in the developing market as well. Research in Motion has seen its market share drop dramatically in recent years, as the smartphone sector has come to be dominated by iOS and Android devices. Recent surveys have shown RIM steadily losing market share primarily to Apple and Samsung.
